Something should be done to setup PPTP VPN on ubuntu 9.10:

1. uncheck 'PAP' auth

2. uncheck 'EAP' auth

3. check 'MPPE'

4. use 'DOMAIN\username' as user name, leave 'domain' field blank

5. restart system after configuring first VPN
